i have m5paper board and was thinking about how to put it into some use. im not interested in usual dashboard kind of things. i would prefer if it would be possible to make a cheap version of boox palma out of it.
so this week i came up with idea to stream screen data from server. server renders page into image, compress it with qoi and send it back to http get from esp, which simply draw image on the screen. later local overlay ui can be added for browsing things in catalog and so on. server side for now is kind straight forward: just using mutool as rendered and qoi as converter.
maybe this could be my ny project.
