I was thinking recently about task and issue management systems, like JIRA or Vikunja, that they are very task centric.
Now I'm wondering if there are systems that automate also task creating or somehow visualize overall process so you don't need additional tools like Confluence to understand what to do. Like CI pipeline but for processes.
Coloured Petri Nets can be used for this. Imagine CEO push a token (or multiple ones for each department) and then the whole automaton sets in motion. It would be so cool.
But we would need to extend Petri Nets with a deviation process to requests for more money :)
